The text contains various kinds of spells. Some spells are in short texts and some in long texts. Some spells were in Pali, some were in Tai Lue and Lao languages. The spells are in different uses. Some spells are used to dispel diseases from patients. Some spells are used with water for bathing for exercising spirit or misfortune out of the body. Moreover, there are spells of protection, and Khatha papphi (Spell for subduing spirits).
