Description of manuscript content:
The text was written in Nissaya style. That is first Pali and followed by Lao as translation word by word. The content tells the monastic code of discipline at the fourth pārājike (defeat). That is uttarimanussadhamma (extraordinary condition, transcendental norm), deliberately lying to another person that one has attained a superior spiritual state, such as claiming to be an Arahant when one knows one is not or claiming to have attained one of the jhanas (meditative absorption) when one knows one hasn't.
Colophon:
Folio 2 on the verso side: In Cunlasakkarat 12047 (CS 1247), a tao chai year, the seventh day of the week (Saturday). The writing of this manuscript was finished in the midday. Sathu Phò (monk) is the sponsor of the making of this manuscript.
