In general, the offerings for “suep sata” have to include banana-leaf cups, candles, paddles, white rice, eggs, banana, sugar cane, money, etc. The ceremony is organized only for a person who is seriously ill. Bad luck happened in a house or in a city. It is believed that the recitation of the text will charm away troubles.
2). The text describes various kinds of bad luck which are occurred by the power of devas. This text is to chant at the dispelling bad luck ceremony by a ceremonial master. The offerings for the ceremony consist of money, banana, sugar cane, sour soup, sweet soup, black rice, white rice, nuts, etc.
