The text tells a traditional ceremony called Kae kamnoet kao mae (Cure the birth from nine mothers) is organized for a child who is sick or unwell. The sickness of the child is considered to be caused by his or her previous life. The incantation in Pali is recited by a ceremonial master, related to the names of the nine mothers. In case the child is one year old, his or her previous mother named Nang Montha, if the child is two years old, the mother named Nang Nantha, three years, the mother named Nang Yutanha, four years, the mother named Nang Vaphathika, five years, the mother named Nang Pukkathika, six years, the mother named Nang Sangni, seven years, the mother named Nang Thevatti, eight years, the mother named Nang Sari, and nine years, the mother named Nang Siyutta.
