The texts contain two stories. The first story tells Kham hiak khwan (the words recalling for one’s guardian spirit) which is used by a father reciting while tying a wrist of his child who is sick or unwell to recall for his or her guardian spirit back. The second story tells Kham sut khwan khao (the words for recalling rice's spirit) used by a ceremonial master reciting at a ceremony for a sick person.
