Description of manuscript content:
The text of kae kam noet is used at a ceremony for a baby who is weak and often ill. The belief in the birth is that the baby’s illness might be affected by the spirit of who used to be his or her previous mother. She wants to take her child back. The ritual will close their relationship and the baby will be grown up naturally. At present, this ritual is practiced in the remote villages, not popular in the rural villages due to the people bringing their babies to see a doctor, when they are sick.
