One day, a barber who was born in a merchant family, was travelling to Suvannaphum kingdom. On his way, he met a tiger, a bird, a giant, and a god who were his friends in the previous existence. The god said to him that in the previous life, I was born as a wealthy man and we were friends. Our other three friends did not make merit; therefore, they are animals in this life. You are a human being, and I am a god. This is because of the result of our good deed in making a Kathina ceremony in the previous life.
