The story is about the Khangkharasa kingdom which was under the control of King Khangkhaburi. There was a man named Devadata who lived in the kingdom, who had two wives. One day, one of his wives was committing adultery, and she planned to kill her husband. She put poison in the food which she prepared for him. While Devadata was walking in the forest looking for food, he confronted a group of bandits. He was frightened and threw the food away. When the bandits ate the poisoned food, they all died. Later Devadata killed a lion in the forest. He brought the lion’s ears and tail to offer King Khangkhaburi. Then the king gave him many properties.
