Description of manuscript content:
Kumman or Kumāra (the section on the children) is the eighth section of the 13 sections of Vessantara Jataka. The content describes: Brahmin Jujaka arrived at Mount Vamka and stayed overnight near the hermitage of Ascetic Vessantara. At dawn on the next morning, Jujaka was waited until Princess Maddī went away for looking for fruits. He then came out and begged to have Prince Jali and Princess Kanha from Vessantara. When the children realized that the Brahmin begging themselves, they were so scared and concealed themselves under the lotus leaves in the pond. Ascetic Vessantara called them and made them understood about his wishes. Then the ascetic gave them to Jujaka. Jujaka was binding their hands together and dragged them out of there.
