Description of manuscript content:
The Mantra Padhang Ati is a daily prayer said in the old days by adherents of Javanese Kejawen (mystical orders) to become enlightened. Many similar prayers are used based on the different needs of the practitioners. In this case the prayer is used to make life easier as stated in the following quote: “Sukma kawasa, sipat langgĕng adi luwi[h] amisésa amuji sarining gampang, tĕka gampang kĕrsa Alla[h]…”, which means: “Almighty and eternal God, Extraordinary Essence in all creation, (I) beg (You) to make my life easy (so that) it will be easy as desired by Allah.”
