Description of manuscript content:
This is the first fascicle of the Thipphamon (Dibbamanta), a series of Khatha (incantations) in Pali read by a monk to people during auspicious ceremonies such as the ceremony for a new house and on the occasion on the Lao New year festivals. The first part of the text is in Pali in the form of incantations and is followed by blessings for the hosts and listeners so that all dangers may disappear, that they may have good luck and become prosperous.
