The manuscript contains jurisprudence
of the Shāfi‘ī School. Its author, Imām
Rāfi‘ī is a Mujtahid Tarjīḥ ulama like
Imām al-Nawāwī. The role of a Mujtahid
Tarjīḥ is to make a selection of
jurisprudence of cases on which is
disagreement within the Shāfi‘ī School
so that they can be used as reference to
come up with the best opinions.
