Description of manuscript content:
Mahā Saṅgharāja (the Buddha) was very knowledgeable about all three parts of the Buddhist canon, purified with morality and in good practice. He had also the great effort and was the only person who initiated the 84,000 Dhamma-khandha (categories of the Teaching) to his four assemblies of Buddhists: Bhikkhus, Bhikkhunis, Buddhist laymen and Buddhist laywomen.

Folio 25 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1216, a kap nyi year, on the twelfth day of the waning moon of the twelfth [lunar] month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), a tao nyi day, at the time of the morning drum (7:30–9:00), the writing of this manuscript was finished. Mae Thao (grandmother) I Un had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Lam 8 Mün to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my wishes and desires be fulfilled. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvana).
