Description of manuscript content:
The text is about Dāna (giving), Sīla (morality), and Bhāvanā (meditation). Dāna means giving things reasonable and necessary for the recipients in order to help, to bring happiness, to alleviate suffering and stinginess in one’s mind, and to make the mind sober. Sīla means morality one can keep by observing precepts to refrain oneself from physical and mental misconducts. Bhāvanā means mental cultivation done for gaining peace; itis called Samathi (concentration).
