Description of manuscript content:
The whole text was written in Pali and read by monks or novices at the beginning of a Buddhist ceremony or festival, such as the Vessantara festival. There are three chapters: Ban Ton, Phothisat, Itipiso.
Colophon:
Folio 40 on the recto side: Three phuk (fascicle), Ban Ton, Phothisat and Itipiso, are bound together here. I, Chan (Mr. ex-monk) Kaenchan was the scribe. Please do not blame me [for any cases], my disciples. My handwriting is not so beautiful. This fascicle contains 50 pieces of palm-leaf. Folio 41 on the recto side: Hua Phò Phia Pha and his wife from Ban (village) Vat That were the sponsors of the making of this manuscript. Young novices and monks, please preach [the text in this manuscript] with high appreciation.
