The Naga king offered one of his jewelry necklaces to Vidhura Panditta. When lady Vimalā, the queen, saw that he was not wearing his jeweled ornament, she asked him where it was. The Naga king replied, “I was pleased at hearing the moral discourse of Vidhura-paṇḍita, the son of the Brahmin Canda, so I gave him the ornament.”
